COVID-19 Updates
In mid-March everyone's world was turned upside down when the pandemic hit. The charitable sector, particularly those at the front line, serving our most vulnerable citizens, needs our help now more than every. In March the Foundation launched the North Shore COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund and has since raised over $214,000 and issued 35 grants for over $140,000. Funding been issued through the North Shore COVID-19 Response Grant program for programs including meal programs for low-income and vulnerable seniors, crisis and counselling services, at-risk youth outreach, and re-opening addiction recovery plans.
The needs keep growing and we expect this to accelerate even more this fall and winter. Our goal is to raise over $500,000 and you can help by donating now.
