Grant Program: 2020 CommunityMicroNorth Shore COVID-19 Response

The Crisis Centre is a non-profit dedicated to providing help and hope to individuals, organizations, and communities. Spanning the spectrum of crisis support, suicide prevention and postvention, staff and volunteers are engaged services and programs that educate, train, and support the strength and capacity of individuals and communities. During the pandemic they have seen calls increased from 120/day to over 200!

“If there is ever a time to fund our crisis lines appropriately, it is right now. We need your help to keep people safe, alive, and out of the hospital emergency rooms for mental health and suicide-related issues. Funding will ensure we can answer the calls coming into the Crisis Centre.”

September was Suicide Prevention month and on September 10th, the Vancouver Province ran an article that talks more about what Crisis BC does. Read the full article in the Vancouver Province.
