A small neighbourhood in West Vancouver spent a morning in July 2018 cleaning up the beachfront and hosting a full house at an evening BBQ. Swimming, kayaking, and great conversation made for a wonderful get-together, and the music provided by a local resident named Aubrey was the perfect touch – it sounded and felt like the Caribbean with his steel drums and the warm ocean breeze.
The local neighbourhood is changing, with new residents from Moscow, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Tokyo. Everyone enjoyed meeting each other and as you can imagine, the food was amazing!
Everyone can’t wait to get together again, and it simply would not have happened without the encouragement and support of the West Van Foundation’s Neighbour Grants Program.
