This is the time for our community to stay connected – even though that means virtually while socially distancing. The West Vancouver Foundation continues to support the community and residents on the North Shore and West Vancouver, to help keep everyone safe, connected and healthy.
Here are some of the various activities happening at the West Vancouver Foundation and on the North Shore.
COVID19 Emergency Response Fund
The North Shore COVID-19 Response Fund supports local front-line charitable organizations as they continue to meet critical and emerging needs in our community addressing food security, safe shelter, mental & physical wellness, and the social & economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Already we have reached over $214,000 of our $500,000 goal, to support the first wave of grants. To date we have granted to 35 projects and we expect the needs to continue growing, making it vital that we keep getting more donations to this fund.
AT THE FOUNDATION
Staff are working their regular schedules, remotely.
Physical events are on hold or cancelled but we are holding online events/webinars.
The grant programs were modified to respond to the current situation. Visit the grants page for updates on Community Grants and Neighbourhood Small Grants. The COVID19 Response Grant is continues to be open.
We have now held 7 webinars and are planning a 10-module Thriving Non Profits program this spring. To see past presentations or find out more you can click on these links.
