Boris and Monica are long-time residents of West Vancouver and have been raising money for dog rescue organizations for years. Starting in 2015 with Monica raising funds by knitting (with her group, “For Rescues With Love”) and then with their former bakery, The Flour Bakery in Horseshoe Bay. Boris and Monica’s love of dogs prompted Monica to open this fund to continue supporting dogs in need.
The fund will be used exclusively for supporting dog rescue and welfare charities in Canada. The charities can use the funds for all expenses, excluding salaried, for the purpose of dog rescue and welfare. Some of the charities that may be supported include NWTSPCA (Yellowknife, NWT), Penny´s All Breed Animal Rescue (PABAR) (St Paul, Manitoba), Manitoba Underdog Rescue (MUR) (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Manitoba Animal Alliance (MAA) (Sandy Hook, Manitoba), K9 Advocacy Manitoba Inc. (Winnipeg, Manitoba), Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) (Calgary, Alberta), Saving Grace Animal Society (Alix, Alberta), Northern Rescue Network (Thunder Bay, ON).

“Euca is our precious rescue from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We adopted him from the NWTSPCA. He was born in Hay River, NWT and fostered by an amazing foster in Yellowknife. He grew up with his 7 siblings, his mummy and 6 adult dogs!” Monica
