In early November we Celebrated all of the wonderful project leaders and volunteers that ran projects in West Vancouver through the Neighbourhood Small Grant program.
In 2019 we funded 36 Neighbourhood Small Grant projects in West Vancouver. Projects ranged from block parties to emergency preparedness meetings, writing support circles to park cleanups. Many of the project leaders and volunteers came to help celebrate, in addition to many community members such as Councillor Nora Gambioli and Foundation board & staff.
3 lovely project leaders presented their projects and many more brought photos and stories to share. A special thank you to our MC and committee member, Lorna, and the presenting project leaders Naomi, Patty and Tanja! We loved hearing about your Beach Clean-up and Gathering, Neighbourhood Movie Night, and Urban Homestead Tour.
Thank you to Meinhardt’s Ambleside for donating the lovely door prize that project leader Nicki won. Thank you to the Vancouver Foundation for starting this program 20 years ago and for working with us on the program.
