Art in the Park

“Art in the Park” held at John Lawson Beach was a fun art station that encouraged people of all ages, from 2-year-olds to 80-year-olds, to explore their creativity through alcohol ink art. This event aimed to foster a sense of community and artistic expression in a serene beach setting. The workshop was busy from the moment the table was set up until it was over.

The event successfully brought together a diverse group of participants, highlighting its inclusivity. The presence of both young children and senior citizens emphasized the universal appeal of art as a medium for self-expression.

Initially, one elderly gentleman expressed uncertainty about his artistic abilities and was hesitant to sit down and engage in the creative process. However, with encouragement and support, he sat down, tried his hand at art, and to his surprise, produced a piece that filled him with overwhelming joy and satisfaction.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn and experiment with alcohol ink art, fostering their creative skills and providing a unique form of self-expression. Many participants found joy in discovering their artistic abilities, even at 80 years old! Participants not only created beautiful art pieces but also gained a deeper appreciation for the artistic process. Many expressed their eagerness to continue exploring different forms of art in the future.
