Give Where You Live
This year is unlike any other. Now is the time to make local giving a priority. COVID-19 has touched everyone, with the impact on those most vulnerable in our community unprecedented. Your gift will help charities and organizations support our community today, and tomorrow.
Give now, in our community
This fund supports local charitable organizations serving those disproportionately affected on the North Shore by the COVID-19 pandemic. Key priorities are programs or projects that address food security, safe shelter, mental & physical wellness, and the social & economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, for vulnerable North Shore residents. Caring Community Fund
The Caring Community Endowment Fund provides funding to our largest grant stream, the Community Grant program. Community Grants support a wide range of community programs and projects that create connection and belonging for the North Shore community. The focus is on community needs identified in our VitalSigns report, a report that identifies trends and emerging areas of need in our community. Donate here>>
West Vancouver Seniors' Centre Feed the Need Program
The Feed Our Seniors Fund will provide funding to the West Vancouver Seniors' Activity Centre's Food Security Program for vulnerable seniors. Thanks to the quick response from the community, $100,000 was raised by the Dec 31st target and the Ian and Rosemary Mottershead Fund has matched all donations to $100,000. Thanks to the generous and caring support from so many in the community, the funding goal has been surpassed and there is enough funding for all of 2021. The meal program began as the COVID-19 pandemic brought to light a genuine need among this community’s most vulnerable seniors, who lacked the means to access regular meals. Donate here>>
Give Where You Live Guide
The West Vancouver Foundation’s Give Where You Live Guide is a short list of some of the organizations and projects we have our eyes on. They are mostly small(er) and mid-sized, but they are mighty. It’s the first of what we hope will be an annual publication and we invite you to share it widely.
