Updated March 24, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic is touching all parts of our organization and our team is adjusting priorities accordingly. Below are some of the updates from the Foundation.
Foundation Office & Events
In the interest of continuing to serve you and the community, we have instituted a business continuity plan. Our staff are working from home, maintaining their regular schedules. We can be reached by phone at 604-925-8153 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
All scheduled West Vancouver Foundation events are now on hold until further notice.
Community Grants: At this time we are looking at a case by case basis and will give priority to those that are continuing to provide services, especially services to vulnerable individuals in our community. For the Community Grants program we are reaching out now to determine if your project is proceeding or not at this time. For those that were selected by the Community Grants committee, you are able to continue with your project as outlined, and the board approved, we will be proceeding with the granting. For those projects that were selected but are now canceled, the funds will be moved into our COVID-19 Emergency Response Grant program.
The COVID-19 Emergency Response Grant is for charitable organizations serving those affected on the North Shore by the COVID-19 pandemic. The key priorities are to organizations that provide support to North Shore residents that need aid with food, shelter and social isolation. Find out more here.
This is a time for us to come together (virtually) as a community. Call your friends, keep busy at home, and think of your community - perhaps by helping out a neighbour or giving to organizations that continue to serve vulnerable residents.
COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund
The West Vancouver Foundation has created a new fund to facilitate grants to charitable organizations serving those affected on the North Shore by the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants will be made based on need and available funding.
