This is a collection of our past and upcoming events.
Did you host, volunteer or attend a Neighbourhood Small Grant project in West Vancouver this year? Or are you interested in hosting your own event next year?
Please join us to celebrate the successes and experiences of the 2019 West Vancouver Neighbourhood Small Grants Projects, the Project Leaders & Volunteers.
Neighbourhood Small Grants are for $50-$500, for residents to develop projects that connect and engage neighbours at a grass-roots level. This year we funded 38 projects that ranged from block parties to emergency preparedness meetings, movie nights to an urban homestead tour and they were held from Capilano to Lions Bay - there was probably one in your neighbourhood!
Learn more about the various projects that were held throughout West Vancouver and Lions Bay, meet other community members, enjoy some snacks and possibly get inspired to hold your own Neighbourhood Small Grant project next year!
We hope you can join us to celebrate these neighbourhood projects that helped build community, strengthen connections and make West Vancouver a place where everyone feels they belong.

Neighbourhood Small Grants are for up to $500, for a West Vancouver resident and co-applicant, to hold a project in their neighbourhood that helps build connection and belonging at a grassroots level. We've had so many wonderful projects already this year and still have limited funding available. Some ideas are a Fall Harvest Celebration, Holiday craft skills workshop, Emergency preparedness meeting, multi-cultural cooking party.
The deadline for 2019 is October 15th so get your application in soon. It's very easy, only 3 main questions. Find out more.
Our 2019 Vital Signs report - a snapshot of what is happening in West Vancouver in 10 key focus areas - has launched!
What is a vibrant community?
West Vancouver's Vital Signs is a community check-up that measures the vitality of our community, identifies concerns, and supports action of issues that are critical to our quality of life. The West Vancouver Foundation produces the report to connect philanthropy to community needs and opportunities. Vital Signs is a national initiative of community foundations across the country.
The inaugural Heritage Club Games were a great success!
It was a lovely day of community giving, fun times and good food. For many of the participants it was their first time at these fantastic venues we are lucky to have in West Vancouver.
Thank you so much for all of the participants, sponsors, donors and a big Thank You to the organizers and volunteers!
We can't wait for next year's!
The June 14, 2019 West Vancouver Foundation Mayor's Lawn Bowling social was a huge success! Such a fun, informal kick-off event to the summer.
In celebration of the Foundation's 40th Anniversary we celebrated all things 'Birthday' and the teams didn't disappoint.
Funds raised from the tournament support community projects, non-profit organizations, scholarships that help further the arts, education, health, social services and the environment in West Vancouver.
